Invest in Neighborhoods Inc. Invest in Neighborhoods Inc. Invest in Neighborhoods Inc. has awarded $7,195.44 in grants to eight community councils for neighborhood improvement projects. The annual Merit Grants will be used for youth programs, beautification efforts, a computer lab and a public address system.
The awards were announced at the Invest annual meeting June 15.
Neighborhoods receiving grants are Madisonville, Northside, Roselawn, Sayler Park, South Cumminsville, Walnut Hills, West Price Hill and Westwood.
Members also elected to the Board of Trustees Katie Carroll of Oakley, Margaret Casarez of Walnut Hills, John Eby of Westwood and Kathleen Garrison of Madisonville. Re-elected were Betty Kamuf of Sayler Park and Sam Nellom of Bond Hill.
