Neighborhood Business District Support Program
In the 2004 City Budget, Cincinnati City Council approved funding in the amount of $340,000 for the implementation of the Neighborhood Business District Support Fund (NBDSF) Program (the Program). The Program is intended to support recognized business districts (NBDs) in 34 Cincinnati neighborhoods. The Program has three goals:
- To assist NBDs in recruiting new members and increasing community participation by promoting the NBDs at special community events and or other activities, including holiday festivals.
- To provide minimal funding for annual capital, streetscape, landscaping, safety-related or other projects that generally improve the NBD.
- To foster cooperation between NBDs and area Community Councils.

The Program will provide approximately $170,000 in grants to support NBD improvements in 34 communities. The maximum Program grant is $5,000 for each community.

Assumes that contract is signed by appropriate business district representative after receiving approval at the Review Committee meeting. If contract is not signed at meeting, contract becomes effective on date signed by appropriate council representative and received by Invest in Neighborhoods.

Original proposals may be (e)mailed to or dropped off at the Invest office at 315 W. Court St. (Fire Museum). Whether (e)mailed or hand delivered, proposals must be received on the deadline day by 5:00 p.m.
